I've been using Excel for Mac for about a month now and am pleased with it. I wish there were another company I could use for spreadsheets, but since MS has a monopoly on office software I feel stuck. It will not work with Excel 2008 since that version of Excel did not support add-ins. I could go on, but suffice to say that you are NOT getting the full version of Excel if you buy it for the Mac. Worse, there is no way to remove single borders since the eraser tool was part of the pencil border tool. The only way to add borders is to use the clumsy pull down menu. The once included pencil tool for easily creating cell borders was unceremoniously removed from the Mac version. Microsoft took the full version of its Excel for Windows and disabled some of the most useful features to make sure the experience on a Mac was worse.
